Shopping Spree

So this week I was trying to spend as little as possible and get the essentials.

Store #1- Walmart
I headed out to Walmart first thing the morning to see if I could get a Mr. Potato Head for $1.99 with the price match from Toys R Us doorbuster deal and a coupon (thanks Stretching a Buck!!). I took my printed ad and headed right for customer service and spoke with a manager and ended up getting one for my little guy for Christmas! I am so excited! While there, I picked up some dog food, milk and eggs. Total OOP $15

Store #2-Walgreens
Later in the day, when both boys were down, I headed out again to Walgreens very excited about some great deals! I just love going to my Walgreens store! They are so nice to me even though I use LOTS of coupons. I have an ongoing joke with the cashiers and the managers know when I walk in the door! They are just wonderful!! So, My husband needed his prescription refilled and since it was filled at a different pharmacy last, I was able to transfer it back to Walgreens. I was so excited this morning when the mail came because there was a check from Walgreens for a transfer prescription for $25!!! So off I went to be a happy shopper!! Since this was a check, it has to be used all in one transaction, so I tried to stock up on things that I normally would not buy or are more expensive in order to reach the $25! Here is what I came away with.

18 boxes Kleenex (raincheck)(free + overage)
6 boxes Keebler crackers (free)
3 boxes Cheez-It (free)
3 boxes Keelber cookies (free)
4 Airwick air fresheners (free)
1 Aussi Conditioner $2 OOP ($2 RR)
3 Lubiderm Lotions $2.37 OOP ($8 RR)
2 Pedialyte $5 OOP ($3 in coupon savings!!!)
1 Quilted Northern $3 OOP
Trash Bags $4.99 OOP
Baking Soda $?
Animal Crackers $?
All of the Halloween items were 75% off. I found several items that did not look like Halloween that I picked up for gifts and stocking stuffers!
3 Jump-ropes with gum $.74 ea
5 Candy Cars $.32 ea
1 Candy wistle $1.?
6 Sports ball lollipops $.32 ea

After all of this and my $25 transfer prescription check, I paid out of pocket $.90

I was so excited about this deal!!!! For the extra items that I purchased I did have coupons for most of them to help get more for my money!!

One of the managers at this store told me something about coupons that gave me an "Ah-ha" moment! He said that "coupons are like cash." I never viewed coupons as cash. I always feel that cashiers view them as such an inconvenience. But at this Walgreens they view all coupons as cash and do not give me a hard time at all when using them! I heart Walgreens!
$.90 OOP
$100 Savings including transfer check!!

Store #3-Albertsons
I had to pick up some Sargento Cheese with the raincheck from their last sale when it was 5/$5! I took along my $.40 off assuming I would get face value for it since they are not doubling coupons, but as I was checking out all of the coupons were doubled. The managers said some coupons double and some do not, all of the time!!! It was not an advertised double deal week, but it will double some coupons!! It was so worth the try! 6 bags of cheese for $2 OOP!!!

Store #4-Safeway
2 Pkgs. Huggies $9.99
Use in store coupon (ends 11/21) $7.99
Use $2 Mnf. coupon
Use cellfire and shortcut coupons
final price varies with ecoupons =Average $4.50 per package

I had a raincheck for the Nivia Lipcare when it was $1 and since they have been out of stock since that sale they allowed me to use my $1 coupon even though it was expired. So I picked up 6 of them and used my Mnf. Coupon for the 2 Free Nivia Body Lotion with purchase of 3 Lipcare. So 6 Lip products and 2 Lotions=FREE!!
I also had a Safeway printed coupon for $2 off any MomtoMom product. So the wipes were priced at $1.99 so they were FREE!!

OOP for the entire picture was $4.77!!! that was a 94% Savings!!!

This week the Nivia Lipcare is BOGO so combined with the Mnf. BOGO you can get 2 Free and for every 3 you get use your Free Lotion Mnf. Coupon!!!

This was an awsome week!!!!! I was so happy with how little I spent out of pocket!!!!
